BSA 2022 leaseholder protections

The Building Safety Act 2022 protects qualifying leaseholders from some or all of the cost of fixing historical safety defects. blocsmart records, for each flat, whether the lease qualifies and whether we hold the leaseholder’s deed of certificate.

Recording a flat’s protection

Each flat’s page has a BSA 2022 protection panel under the hot water cylinder. It’s recorded against the lease, so it stays with the flat when it’s sold.
